Writing
Laura wrote and published her first original musical, “Hey Youtubes’,” in 2015 as her undergraduate honors music thesis. As a singer-songwriter, she has written music that she performs, as well as for many other applications, including Enlightened Theatrics’ Production of Jenea Dahl’s play, “Snow White and The Seven Dwarves.” Her bachelor’s and master’s degrees included a significant amount of music arranging and that continues to be a core part of her teaching process as a music educator.
Private Studio
Laura started her private vocal studio, Meadowlark Performing, in 2018. Along with teaching her students how to make beautiful music, she has gotten to help students produce recitals, prepare for auditions, write music, and record music. Best of all she has seen all of her students grow as musicians and gain confidence as performers.

Laura grew up singing and dancing throughout her childhood. She was in choirs, studied ballet and other forms of dance, and attended musical theater camps from a young age. In high school, she found her true passion for musical theater and in college she specialized in vocal performance, earning a Bachelors of Music degree and a Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance for Musical Theatre and Jazz Studies. She has performed in many capacities and now primarily works as a teacher, music director, and choreographer.

Education
Laura attended Western Oregon University (WOU) and graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Music and a minor in theatre in 2015. While at WOU she also studied dance. She was a singer with Western Hemisphere voices directed by Sherry Alves and Cindy Dicken, Orquestra Brasil directed by Tom Bergeron, and Western Hemisphere Orchestra directed by Keller Coker and Dan Gaynor.
She chose to continue studying at Western under Cindy Dicken and graduated with a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance in 2017.
